ROCHESTER — Twenty-five graduating students from Rochester Institute of Technology received an Excellence in Student Life award on May 8 for fostering and encouraging the goals of engagement in activities, excellence in scholarship and the practice of responsible leadership. Honorees include:
- Kelly Hurlburt of Webster, who is studying New Media Design.
- Bridget Hurley of Rochester, who is studying management information systems.
- David Kukfa of Penfield, who is studying Computing Security.
- Sarah Quirk of Lockport, who is studying environmental sustainability, health and safety.
The awards were given at Liberty Hill, the home of RIT President Bill Destler.
Founded in 1964, the award (formerly the Alpha Sigma Lambda Award) honors students who represent the guiding principles of engagement, scholarship and leadership.
