The New York State Board of Elections will host campaign finance seminars in Buffalo and Rochester on May 9 and 10, respectively.

The seminars will include a presentation on campaign financial disclosure requirements as defined in New York State Election Law. Conducted by NYSBOE’s Compliance Unit, these seminars are designed to assist candidates and committees in understanding the law and the disclosure process. Members of the media and the public are welcome.

Attorneys who pre-register and attend can receive three Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits. Certified Public Accountants who pre-register and attend can receive three Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits.

The Buffalo seminar will be held from 9 a.m. to noon May 9 at Walter J. Mahoney State Office Building 65 Court Street, Room 4, First Floor. The Rochester seminar will be held from 9 a.m. to noon May 10 at the Monroe County Board of Elections Service Center,  2595 Brighton Henrietta Town Line Road.

The seminars, which are free-of-charge, are held in partnership with the county board of elections. Those interested in attending a seminar can register on the NYSBOE website at www.elections.ny.gov.
