LATHAM — Nearly two dozen Western New Yorkers re-enlisted as members of the State National Guard, continuing their commitment to serve community, state and nation as part of the Army National Guard, Major General Anthony P. German, the Adjutant General announced today.
The re-enlistees include:
- Corporal Meghan Weinstein from Lancaster has re-enlisted to continue service with the 105th Military Police Company.
- Specialist Rodney Kochersberger from Buffalo has re-enlisted to continue service with the 105th Military Police Company.
- Specialist Nathan Shanley from Lockport has re-enlisted to continue service with the 105th Military Police Company.
- Sergeant Austin Bessong from Lancaster has re-enlisted to continue service with the 152nd Engineer Support Company.
- Staff Sergeant Raul Nunez from Buffalo has re-enlisted to continue service with the 27th Infantry Brigade Combat Team.
- Staff Sergeant Christopher Manns from Rochester has re-enlisted to continue service with the A Troop, 2-101 Cavalry (Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition).
- Sergeant First Class Joseph Stephens from Fredonia has re-enlisted to continue service with the B Troop, 2-101 Cavalry (Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition).
- First Sergeant Jonathan Cross from Lake View has re-enlisted to continue service with the C Troop, 2-101 Cavalry (Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition).
- Sergeant Tymothy Finger from Fairport has re-enlisted to continue service with the Company A (Distribution), 427th Brigade Support Battalion.
- Specialist Robert Chona from Rochester has re-enlisted to continue service with the Company A (Distribution), 427th Brigade Support Battalion.
- Specialist Kristian Santiago from Rochester has re-enlisted to continue service with the Company A (Distribution), 427th Brigade Support Battalion.
- Sergeant Michael Trudeau from East Amherst has re-enlisted to continue service with the Company A (Engineer) 27th Brigade Special Troops Battalion.
- Specialist Kevin Huang from West Henrietta has re-enlisted to continue service with the Company B (Maintenance), 427th Brigade Support Battalion.
- Sergeant Ronald Solem from East Aurora has re-enlisted to continue service with the Company B (Military Intelligence), 27th Brigade Special Troops Battalion.
- Staff Sergeant Richard Atkin from Lockport has re-enlisted to continue service with the Company C (Medical), 427th Brigade Support Battalion.
- Sergeant Dana Smith from Dunkirk has re-enlisted to continue service with the Company D (Forward Support Company Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition), 427th Brigade Support Battalion.
- Sergeant Julian Hayashi from Buffalo has re-enlisted to continue service with the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 27th Brigade Special Troops Battalion.
- Sergeant Geoffrey Hintz from East Aurora has re-enlisted to continue service with the Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 2-101 Cavalry (Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition).
- Sergeant Thomas Pietkiewicz from Lockport has re-enlisted to continue service with the Headquarters and Support Company, 42nd Infantry Division.
- Staff Sergeant Maurice Aiello from Hamburg has re-enlisted to continue service with the Headquarters and Support Company, 42nd Infantry Division.
- Sergeant Andrew Abramowitz from Amherst has re-enlisted to continue service with the Headquarters, 153rd Troop Command.
- Master Sergeant Marc Eveland from Belmont has re-enlisted to continue service with the Operations Company, 42nd Infantry Division.
“New Yorkers count on our Citizen Soldiers to be ready and be there when disaster strikes,” German said. “And our nation counts on our Soldiers when duty calls for overseas service. I congratulate our members for choosing to stay in service and striking that balance between military duties, education or employment commitments and family obligations.”
