ALMOND — A 46-year-old Belmont man was charged with driving while intoxicated following an April 10 traffic stop on County Route 2.

According to a just-released report from the New York State Police, Troopers stopped a truck with no tail lamps or license plates, and determined the driver, Donald W. Schultz, to be intoxicated, although Schultz refused field sobriety tests.

Schultz was transported to SP Amity where he also refused to provide a breath sample. He was arraigned before the Town of Almond Court with orders to re-appear.
