Host Robert Morris scored six runs on six hits in the first inning and never looked back, as the host Colonials posted a 12-0 win in five innings over Canisius Monday afternoon in Moon Township, Pa. The win moves Robert Morris to 13-27 on the year, while the Golden Griffins slipped to 16-26.

The Colonials scored runs in all four of their turns at the plate, and the team finished the game with 13 hits. Canisius senior Lindsey Silfer led off the fourth for Canisius with a base hit to center field, the Blue and Gold’s lone hit of the contest.

Canisius will return to action Saturday, April 22, when the team plays at Rider. The MAAC doubleheader is set to begin at noon.
