BUFFALO — After performances that left the Bulls with two broken school records, a new facility record, and multiple personal records, the men’s and women’s track and field team have both landed in the Top-Five in the latest Northeast Regional Rankings. The men remain in fifth place, while the women move up one spot to third.

The men saw impressive performances from multiple athletes. Brian Crimmins broke the school record in the 1500m at the Bryan Clay Invite. His time of 3:46.33 ranks him first in the Mid-American Conference, and 37th in the NCAA East. Barrett Kemp also put a school record under his belt. He ran to a finishing time of 28:49.24 in the 10,000m at the Bison Open Invite. This time currently ranks him second in the MAC and sixth in the Northeast Region. Mitchell Moore ranks third in both the MAC and the Northeast Region in the 400m. Craig Kaiser’s performance at the Bryan Clay Invite in the 1500m ranked him fourth in the MAC in the event.

The women’s performances at the Bison Open Invite at Bucknell University left them with several regional and conference rankings. Miranda Daucher’s performance in the women’s discus left her with a new facility record. Daucher threw to a distance of 169′ 8″. This distance currently ranks second in both the Mid-American Conference and the Northeast Region. Selina Von Jackowski’s performance in the long jump helped rank her third in both the MAC and the Northeast Region as well. Personal records from Corinne Birchard and Meagan Hopkins landed them in the Top-15 rankings in the conference in the 1500m and 10,000m, respectively. Freshmen Sylvia Russell and Stephanie Ward also found themselves among the Top-Ten in the conference in their events. Russell’s freshman record time of 10:49.29 in the 3000m Steeplechase landed her fifth in the conference, and Ward’s freshman record time of 16:51.42 in the 5000m landed her sixth in the conference.
