BUFFALO — After an impressive weekend that left with a broken school record and several Top-Five finishes, the University at Buffalo track and field team were regionally ranked in the Top-Five in the Northeast Region. The men currently sit in fifth, directly behind Cornell, while the women sit in fourth behind Columbia.
Mitchell Moore was ranked first in two separate events after the past weekend: 400m hurdles and 4X400. Moore placed third at the competition, completing the race in 52.56 to rank him first in the region and first in the conference in the event. The 4X400 relay team of Gyasi Morris, Joshua Gali, Brian Cummiskey, and Moore clocked in at 3:09.56 to break a 22-year-old school record. Their times placed first at the competition, while ranking first in the Northeast Region and in the Mid-American Conference.
Joshua Gali, Mikayla Pearce, Miranda Daucher, and Martine Bye all rank second in the region in their respective events. Gali ranks second in the 400m dash, Pearce in the long jump, Daucher in the discus, and Bye in the heptathlon. Selina Von Jackowski ranks third in the heptathlon behind teammate Bye.
Also regionally ranked in the Top-Ten are Brian Cummiskey, Joshua Gali, Mitchell Moore, Ryan Billian (fifth, 4X100), Christine Lyttle (sixth, 100HH), Crystal Henderson (sixth, triple jump), Jess Dhaliwall (sixth, discus), Martine Bye (seventh, high jump), Selina Von Jackowski, Mikayla Pearce, Lyttle, Tyra Forbes (seventh, 4X100), and Von Jackowski (tied eighth, 100HH).
