MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The Niagara men’s golf team completed the first round of the Robert Morris Colonial Golf Classic at Montour Heights Country Club on Monday. The team shot a 327 (+39) total and is in eighth place after the first 18 holes.

Christian Nizamis and Nicco Gentile led Niagara. Both fired an 80 (+8) and are in a seven-way tie for 16th place.

Daniel Weimer is tied for 27th; he carded an 82 (+10) in round one. Matt Lesinski shot 85 (+13) and is tied for 37th.

Competing in his first event for Niagara, Ben Conroy rounded out the Purple Eagles quintet. He carded an 87 (+15) and is tied for 44th place.

Wilson Lockwood, who is competing as an individual, also shot 87 (+15) and is tied for 44th.

The Purple Eagles will play the final round of the nine team tournament on Tuesday, which will begin with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
