Jesse A. Palumbo passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on March 25, 2017 while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Lockport on November 14, 1938 he was the son of Daniel and Lucy (Rosati) Palumbo. Jesse worked for the NFTA in Buffalo for 13 years as a bus driver. Before working with the NFTA he worked for his family business, Palumbo Trucking. Jesse loved his work and enjoyed painting and spending time with his family.
Jesse is survived by his wife Mary (Preisch) Palumbo; father of Jacqueline Palumbo, Nancy (Fred Mumm) Palumbo, Laurie (John) Green, Mark (Liliana) Palumbo, and Anthony (Kim) Palumbo; grandfather of eight; brother of the late Joseph Palumbo; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, March 31st from 3-7 PM at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, April 1st at 10 AM at St. Augustine R.C. Church, 8700 Goodrich Road, Clarence Center. In lieu of flowers, donations to Niagara Hospice would be appreciated.
