The Niagara Purple Eagles went 1-2 in three matches played in western Pennsylvania.

St. Francis (Pa.) 6, Niagara University 1

Niagara was edged in No. 2 doubles, 7-5, to drop the doubles point.Stella Peisakhova and Shannon Wong were both clipped in three-set matches. Sharlee Deshmukh and Sansriti Ranjan lost close first sets while going down in straight sets.

Niagara University 4, Mount St. Mary’s 3

The Purple Eagles won four of the single singles matches to come away with the win.NU entered singles trailing, 1-0. Stella Peisakhova won her No. 1 singles match, 6-4, 6-4, for her team-leading seventh win of the season. Shannon Wong beat Kelly Smith, 6-4, 6-3, in No. 2 singles. Sansriti Ranjan won her match in straight sets. Ali Hutchinson clinched the match for the Purple Eagles with a 6-3, 6-4 win in five singles.

Mercyhurst 8, Niagara 1

Shannon Wong picked up the Purple Eagles’ lone victory with a 6-2, 6-4 win in No. 2 singles. Stella Peisakhova fell to No. 4 nationally-ranked S. Gomez de Segura in straight sets. Sharlee Deshmukh was edged in three sets in four singles.
