BEMUS POINT — A 25-year-old Bemus Point man was charged Wednesday with third-degree assault stemming from an incident in February.

According to New York State Police, in February, Troopers responded to a residence in Bemus Point where a victim was observed with facial injuries and broken glasses. Richard Raynor had already fled the scene and avoided apprehension until he was located at his residence Wednesday where he was taken into custody.
