CLEVELAND, Ohio – The University at Buffalo men’s tennis team won for the third straight match on Saturday morning as the Bulls swept Cleveland State, 7-0.  The victory improves Buffalo to 4-3 on the season.

In doubles, Filip Grbic and Hao Sheng Koay swept their opponent with a 6-0 win at one; while Petr Vodak and Villhelm Fridell clinched the doubles point with a 7-5 win at two.  Ethan Nittolo and Tony Miller then completed the doubles sweep with a 7-6 (5) victory.

The Bulls won all six singles matches in straight sets beginning with a 6-1, 6-1 win from Nittolo at six.  Vodak then won 6-3, 6-1 at five before Fridell clinched the match at four, 6-3, 6-1.

Grbic won 6-1, 6-4 at three and Koay won 6-3, 6-3 at one.  Vidit Vaghela completed the clean sweep for the Bulls with a 6-4, 7-6 (5) win at two.

“This was another solid performance on all courts,” said head coach Lee Nickell.  “I am truly proud of our competitive spirit, and cannot wait to play Bryant on Saturday.”


The Bulls will travel to Princeton, NJ next weekend where they will play Bryant on Saturday and Princeton on Sunday.
