OXFORD, Ohio – The University at Buffalo women’s swimming and diving team sit in fourth place after day three of the Mid-American Conference Championship. The Bulls had a stellar performance in the pool and the well, earning several medals at the competition.

Megan Burns earned another gold medal at this year’s competition. Burns took first place in the 200 Free with a time of 1:46.07. Julia Box broke two school records on Friday, while taking the bronze in one. Her time of 53.77 in the 100 Fly broke her previous school record set earlier this year and earned her a bronze medal. Box also broke the school record in the 100 Back with a time of 54.19. Brittney Walters clocked in at 4:18.64 in the 400 IM to earn the silver medal.

The Bulls also broke the school record in the 400 Medley Relay. Andrea Ernst, Anna Vitolins, Julia Box, and Eve Kosten were able to swim to a fifth place finish with a time of 3:43.49.


The Bulls are back in action again at 11 a.m. for the final day of the MAC Championship.
