OXFORD, Ohio – The University at Buffalo had a great showing at the second day of the women’s swimming Mid-American Conference Championships. The Bulls are bringing home two gold medals, two silver medals, and a bronze medal. The Bulls also broke two school records.

Megan Burns remains undefeated in the 50 Free at the MAC Championships. Her three-year-long streak continued Thursday night as she broke the school, meet, and conference record with her time of 22.04. Burns was also a member of the gold-winning 200 Free Relay team. Alongside her were teammates Sarah Baxter, Eve Kosten, and Andrea Ernst. The four swam to a finishing time of 1:29.97 to take home the gold.

Hannah Miller and Sarah Baxter each are bringing home a silver medal for the Bulls. Miller clocked in at 4:47.76 for a second place finish in the 500 Free. Baxter clocked in at 1:59.23 in the 200 IM for the silver medal. Abbey Croce was the bronze medalist for the Bulls. Croce posted a diving score of 287.70 in the finals to take third.


Buffalo currently sits in second place overall at the tournament, just behind the University of Akron. The Bulls are back in action tomorrow for Day Three of the MAC Championships.
