BUFFALO — The University at Buffalo’s track and field team are both regionally ranked in the Top-Five in the Northeast Region. The men were ranked fifth in the region, while the women were ranked third in the region.
The men’s ranking comes right after an incredible weekend at the Akron Invitational, where Joshua Gali broke the school record in the 200m. The record had stood for ten years before Gali broke it, running the race in 21.25. Buffalo’s ranking puts them closely below Syracuse, Cornell, Northeastern, and Albany.
The women were ranked third in the Northeast Region, highest in program history. This ranking comes after a stellar weekend for the Bulls as well; where Emma Siuciak shattered the school record in the Pentathlon, scoring 3855. This score was nearly 100 points higher than the previous school record. The women fall directly behind Harvard and Connecticut in the rankings; and above Syracuse.
