BUFFALO — Alyssa Greymont (Morgan Hill, CA/Flex Academy) shattered the Buffalo State record in the 1,650 free as Buffalo State closed out its home meet schedule today with a dual meet against Oswego.

Greymont touched first in the mile, posting a time of 18:23.62, more than 40 seconds faster than her nearest competitor and shaving more than 10 seconds off the school record. On the men’s side, Connor Mergler (E. Amherst/Williamsville North) helped the Bengals to three first-place finishes.  He won the 50 free in 21.27 seconds. Mergler also joined Jake Brigham (Binghamton/ Binghamton), Cody Wittmeyer (Boston/Hamburg) and Ryan McHale (Lancaster/Lancaster) to touch first in the 200 medley relay (1:42.53), and teamed up with Wittmeyer, Dan Kuznetsov (Williamsville/Williamsville South) and McHale to claim the 400 free relay (3:18.00).
Other winners for the men included Kuznetsov in the 200 free (1:50.19), Tom DePasquale (Tonawanda/Kenmore West) in the 100 fly (56.66), and Justin Moser (Tonawanda/Kenmore East) in the 3-meter dive (241.80). Bri Chehovich (Auburn/Auburn) added a victory for Buffalo State’s women in the 100 breast with a time of 1:16.35.

Buffalo State will visit Brockport for a dual meet next Saturday at 1 p.m.
