TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A 42-year-old Lockport man was charged Tuesday with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop on Lockport Road.

According to New York State Police. Douglas Gibson was stopped on Lockport Road near Bear Ridge Road for failing to stop at a stop sign and determined to be intoxicated. He was taken to the Lockport Troopers’ barracks and found to have a .16 percent blood alcohol content. 
Gibson was issued traffic tickets returnable to the Town of Lockport Court where he is scheduled to appear at a later date.
