LATHAM — Several members of the New York Army National Guard from Western New York were recently given new ranks and responsibilities in recognition of their capability for additional responsibility and leadership.

  • Fatoumata Kante from Amherst and serving with the 105th Military Police Company is promoted to the rank of Private First Class.
  • Gregory McDonnell from Grand Island and serving with the 105th Military Police Company is promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant.
  • Scott Bateman from Olean and serving with the 152nd Engineer Support Company is promoted to the rank of Specialist.
  • Jordan Jacobs from Fairport and serving with the 222nd Military Police Company is promoted to the rank of Private First Class.
  • Ryan Stephens from Rochester and serving with the 222nd Military Police Company is promoted to the rank of Private First Class.
  • Peter Tran from Rochester and serving with the 222nd Military Police Company is promoted to the rank of Specialist.
  • Brandon Clemons from South Wales and serving with the Company A (Engineer), 27th Brigade Special Troops Battalion is promoted to the rank of Specialist.
  • Joshua Kaczmarek from Kenmore and serving with the Company A (Engineer), 27th Brigade Special Troops Battalion is promoted to the rank of Sergeant.
  • Jamie McMahon from Alden and serving with the Company A (Engineer), 27th Brigade Special Troops Battalion is promoted to the rank of Private First Class.
