Hello Metalheads! This is John back with another album review. This time I bring to you Genocide Gospel by Eyesawgod which releases on August 28th , 2026! Eyesawgod are a deathcore band whom have an EP called Echoes of Dying of a World which dropped last January. I covered this https://technicalmusicreview.com/2025/01/21/echoes-of-a-dying-world-by-eyesawgod/amp/ and I absolutely loved it. This debut has all of those tracks along in the EP with some new tracks.

I was really drawn to these guys when I heard them last year, they bring the old school deathcore sound perfectly. As I stated in my previous article, Eyesawgod sounds to me, like they have some huge influence from the likes of Carnifex, Suicide Silence and All Shall Perish. I love how they have faster melodic passages with soul crushing breakdowns with bass drops to add to the brutality! They also have this super raw sound, it’s not overproduced and polished which I love. This especially comes in with the vocals in my eyes. Too many bands these days have vocal gymnastics and are over the top. The vocals are angry and belligerent which fits perfect.

So overall I would give Genocide Gospel a 9/10 on my personal rating scale! This debut is exactly what I want to hear in a deathcore album. I typically like to highlight a specific track that I really enjoyed but this is such a solid album, that I can’t find a favorite! Thanks to the band for sending this over early so I can get this out early! As always don’t forget to stream this album, follow their social media and even buy it if you love it!
