BUFFALO — Erie County Republican Chairman Nick Langworthy has been added to President-elect Donald Trump’s transition team.

Langworthy announced the appointment on his Twitter this afternoon.

Langworthy adds Congressmen Chris Collins and Tom Reed in representing Western New York on the transition team. He was joined today by nine other appointees in joining the team including former Apprentice star Omarosa Manigault; Amata Coleman Radewagen, American Samoa’s delegate to the House; Sheriff Butch Anderson of Dutchess County, New York; Oracle CEO Safra Catz; Tom Dadey, chairman of the Onondaga County, New York, GOP; Mike McCormack; Joe Mondello; and former New York Rep. John Sweeney.

Langworthy has been Chairman of the Erie County Republican Committee since 2010. He was re-elected in 2012 and 2014. He is the youngest person ever to be elected Chairman of any Political Party in Erie County, having first been elected at age 29.

Prior to his service as Chairman, Langworthy worked for Congressmen Tom Reynolds and Chris Lee.
