Keirn Brown Vincent of Lockport, passed away suddenly on December 9, 2016 at Buffalo General Hospital. He was born in Newfane, on May 25, 1936, the son of Clifton and Onalee Brown Vincent. Keirn graduated from Newfane High School in 1953, and from Erie County Technical Institute in 1955. He was employed by Union Carbide Mining and Metal; Union Carbide Linde; Mesch Engineering; and Chemical Design Inc., of Lockport, retiring in March of 2000.

Keirn was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lockport, serving as an Elder and Chairman of the Building Committee. He was a former member of Miller Hose Fire Company; and played the trumpet with the Don Keller Orchestra for 30 years. Keirn was a 45 year life member of the Lockport Elks Lodge #41, serving as Past Exalted Ruler; New York State Elks Association Vice President in 1994; Elks District Deputy in 2003; and Lodge Secretary for 19 years. He was also a member of Lockport Town and Country Club. Keirn married Linda Lee Seekins Tothill in First Presbyterian Church on December 10, 1972. They would have celebrated their 44th Anniversary the day after his death.

Besides his wife, Keirn is survived by three daughters; Tamara J. (Daniel Phipps) Smith of Newfane, Cathleen J. (Christopher) Scirto of Lockport and Wendy L. (Joseph) Derda of Gasport. Also survived by three step-children; Karen L. Garbutt of Middleport, David E. Tothill of Niagara Falls and Darin E. (Angela) Tothill of Lockport, and the late Kathy L. Tothill. Keirn is survived by 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; brother in-law David E. (Lois) Seekins of Lockport, Elaine (Allen) Edmister of Lockport. He was the brother of the late James Vincent, Leland Vincent, Charles Vincent, Mavis Winkley and Fayetta Liddell.

Family and friends are invited to visitation on Tuesday December 13th 1-4 PM and 6-8 PM, with an Elks Service at 7 PM, in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street Lockport, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday morning at 10 AM, officiated by Rev. W. James Hardy of First Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in North Ridge Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorials to the Elks Law Enforcement Scholarship Fund, P.O.
