BUFFALO — The University at Buffalo wrestling team will open Mid-American Conference action on Sunday when it travels to Ohio to take on the Bobcats. The match is scheduled to start at 1 pm.

The Bulls are a 1-2 in duals on the season with a dominant 32-9 win over George Mason and hard-fought losses to nationally-ranked Cornell and Princeton. Ohio is also 1-2 with a win over West Virginia and losses to Pittsburgh and Campbell.

Following solid starts to the season, the Bulls have two wrestlers in the national rankings. James Benjamin is 7-1 and 2-0 in duals, including an upset win over #4 Brett Harner of Princeton. Benjamin is ranked 17th. Bryan Lantry is also ranked 17th at 133 after a 5-0 start, including a perfect 2-0 mark in dual matches.

Ohio leads the all-time series, 16-3. The Bobcats have won the last eight meetings between the schools. The Bulls are looking for their first win over the Bobcats since 2008.
