BUFFALO — The Mid-American Conference announced the predictions for the 2016-2017 Indoor Track & Field season on Thursday. The men were predicted to finish the fifth, while the women were predicted to finish seventh.

Last year, the Bulls competed well at the Indoor MAC Championships, with the men finishing in fourth and the women finishing in sixth overall.

Ryan Cribbin (throws) returns this year, hoping to have a repeat of last year’s MAC Championship success. Cribbin brought home the gold medal in the shot put, winning the competition with a distance of 18.12m (59-05.50). Devon Patterson and Megan Patterson also return to the roster this year after a successful 2015-2016 campaign. D. Patterson placed fourth in the shot put at the MAC Championships; while M. Patterson brought home a bronze medal for the second time in her career.

Dual athletes Brian Crimmins, Tyler Scheving, and Thomas Meehan (cross country) also had a good showing at the Indoor MAC Championships last year. Crimmins brought home a silver medal in the mile with a time of 4:08.54. Scheving and Meehan did well in the 800m. Scheving brought home a bronze medal with a time of 1:49.82.

The Bulls have a strong returning roster this year, while also adding some depth with incoming freshmen and transfers.
