ROCHESTER — Thirty-three year old Harris Hickman of Rochester, who was convicted of sex trafficking of a minor, was sentenced to 188 months in prison by U.S. District Judge Elizabeth A. Wolford.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Tiffany H. Lee, who handled the case, stated that in March 2014, Hickman trafficked a 15-year-old minor by posting photographs of the minor in advertisements online., knowing the minor’s age and that the minor would be caused to engage in prostitution activity. Hickman also benefited financially from the prostitution activities of the minor by getting part of the proceeds.
The sentencing is the culmination of an investigation on the part of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Cyber Crimes Task Force, under the direction of Special Agent in Charge Adam S. Cohen and Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Homeland Security Investigations, under the direction of Special Agent in Charge James C. Spero.
