COLD SPRINGS — A 23-year-old Montgomery, Alabama man was charged Monday with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

According to New York State Police, Jacob Baker was pulled over on Interstate 86 for speeding, and while speaking to Baker, the Trooper observed a marijuana smoking device in plain sight on the floor of the truck. Baker was also found to be in possession of a canister containing hash oil.

Baker was taken into custody, transported to SP Jamestown and processed before being arraigned in the Town of Randolph Court and remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Cold Spring Court on a later date to answer the charge.
