Shirley M. (nee Malaney) Rinehart, 80, of the Town of Niagara, NY, passed from this life on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at her residence. Born on December 6, 1935 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late William and Grace (Bomberry) Malaney, Jr. and the late Olive (Brydges) Malaney. On July 11, 1968 she married Francis E. Rinehart.  He predeceased her on December 21, 2013.

Mrs. Rinehart was a lifelong area resident and attended local schools.  Shirley worked as a waitress for various restaurants and was also employed as a dietary supervisor for local nursing homes, retiring in the late 1990’s.

Mrs. Rinehart is survived by one daughter, Deborah Casey of Florida; two step-children, Cynthia (Paul) Kowalczyk of Niagara Falls, NY and Eric (Bev) Rinehart of Wellsville, NY; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.  Shirley is also survived by one brother, William (Joan) Malaney, III of Niagara Falls, NY; two half-brothers, Kevin (Nancy) Malaney of Niagara Falls, NY and Joseph Malaney of North Tonawanda, NY; two step-sisters, Karren (late Ross) Salimbene of North Tonawanda, NY and Sarah LaBarber of Niagara Falls, NY; one step-brother, Darryl (Linda) Bomberry of Lockport, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one son, James Casey; two brothers, Dennis (Delores of Niagara Falls, NY) Malaney and Jerry Malaney; one half-brother, Michael; one step-brother, Greg and one step-sister, Cheryl.

There will be no prior visitation.  Private inurnment will be held in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, in the Town of Niagara.
