Assistant U.S. Attorney Thomas S. Duszkiewicz, who handled the case, stated that on August 4, 2015, during an aerial operation, the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force observed what appeared to be multiple marijuana plants. A ground search determined that Randy Wade Kenyon was cultivating a total of 677 plants on his property at the time on Five Mile Road in Ischua.
The sentencing is the result of an investigation by the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force, under the direction of Cattaraugus County Sheriff Timothy Whitcomb and the Drug Enforcement Administration, under the direction of Special Agent in Charge James J. Hunt, New York Field Division. Additional assistance was provided by the National Guard Aviation unit.
