ROCHESTER — Buffalo State competed in a dual meet today at Monroe Community College and the men’s team posted a 138-96 victory, while the women’s team fell, 130-83, despite another school record by freshman Alyssa Greymont (Morgan Hill, CA/Flex Academy).

For the second-consecutive meet, Greymont has set a Buffalo State record, this time while winning the 500 free with a time of 5:19.16.  She also won the 200 free in 2:00.98. On the men’s side, Justin Moser (Tonawanda/Kenmore East) won both diving events, claiming the 1-meter with a score of 202.15, and won the 3-meter with a total of 208.35. Other winners included: Connor Mergler (E. Amherst/Williamsville North) touching first in the 100 free (47.19), Tim Petranchuk (Cheektowaga/Cheektowaga) winning the 1,000 free (11:08.50), Dan Kuznetsov (Williamsville/Williamsville South) claiming the 200 free (1:52.59), Ryan McHale (Lancaster/Lancaster) winning the 50 free (24:43), and Cody Wittmeyer (Boston/Hamburg) taking the 100 fly (55.59). Wittmeyer, Jake Brigham (Binghamton/Binghamton), Mergler, and McHale teamed up to win the 200 medley relay (1:44.91).  Kuznetsov, Wittmeyer, McHale and Mergler also won the 400 free relay (3:21.47). The women’s relay of Greymont, Grace Bolton (Grand Island/Grand Island), Kathryn Spychalski (Geneva/Geneva) and Michelle Viera (Smithtown/Smithtown West) captured the 400 free relay in 4:07.02.

Buffalo State will host Pitt-Bradford in a dual meet next Saturday at 1 p.m.
