Edward J. Bartolomei of Lewiston, NY, passed away on October 27, 2016 in Schoellkopf Health Center. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY on August 18, 1922, the son of the late Guido and Angelina Bartolomei.

Mr. Bartolomei was employed with Union Carbide as a lab technician. He served in the US Army Air Corps. during WW II. Mr. Bartolomei enjoyed woodworking, bowling and meeting new people. He belonged to the VFW Post 917 and the American Legion Cadille Post 1664.

Edward is survived by his wife Irene M. [Schieppati] Bartolomei, sons Robert P. Bartolomei and Chris J. (Megan) Bartolomei, daughters Janice L. (Carl) Cadregari and Sandra A. Lewis, grandchildren Shannon Clarke, Alexis and Madeline Farugia, Lucia and Aidan Bartolomei, Christopher and Kathryn Cadregari, great-grandchildren Miles and Reid, sisters Joyce (Jesse) Sabin and Irene (Joseph) Saia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family will be present on Tuesday from 3-7 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 901 Cayuga St., LEWISTON, NY, where Military Honors will be held at 7:00 PM.

Memorials in his name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
