CORTLAND — Buffalo State closed out the SUNYAC schedule today at Cortland with a pair of losses, falling in four sets against Geneseo before being swept by Plattsburgh.

Against Geneseo, Buffalo State fell behind dropping the first set, 19-25, but bounced back to claim the second set, 25-23, but then fell 20-25 and 19-25 to fall in four. Lauren Hansen (Blue Point/Bayport Blue Point) led the Bengals’ at the net with 15 kills, and Allie Harford (Silver Creek/Silver Creek) added 10 kills to go with four blocks. Katherine Marte (Ithaca/Ithaca) had 29 assists and 13 digs for the Bengals, while Victoria Rigler (Amherst/Sweet Home) led the team with 20 digs.

In the second game, Plattsburgh pushed past the Bengals in straight-sets in the late match. Hansen led the Bengals with seven kills, and Marte had 18 assists and nine digs. Rigler chipped in 16 digs in the loss.
                                                                                               
Buffalo State will close out its 2016 season next weekend with a trip to NYU for the New York Region Challenge.  The Bengals will face Rowan on Friday, and Montclair State and NYU on Oct. 29.
