
ANAPOLIS, Md. – The University at Buffalo women’s tennis team concluded its weekend at the Navy Invitational with a pair of flight championships.
In the “A” singles flight, junior Tanja Stojanovska claimed a 6-3, 6-1 win over Shreya Pasrischa from Fairleigh Dickinson to win the championship, while the Bulls also won the “C” singles flight as freshman Anna Savchenko won her finals match 6-2, 4-6, 10-2 over Jacqueline Cocherine from Rutgers.
Sophomore Mercedes Losada Rubio dropped her contest 6-4, 6-3 in the “B” singles flight final, and in doubles Stojanovska and Margarita Kotok fell in the “A” doubles flight championship, 6-4.
Next up for the Bulls will be a trip to the ITA Regionals, while begins on Oct. 20.
