OSWEGO — Lauren Hansen (Blue Point/Bayport Blue Point) had a double-double with 12 kills and 13 digs, but it was not enough to carry Buffalo State as the Bengals dropped a four-set decision to Fredonia today in SUNYAC play at Oswego.

Fredonia raced out to a 25-9 win in the opening set.  The Bengals led 14-11 in the second set, but the Blue Devils responded with a 10-1 run en route to a 25-16 victory.  Buffalo State extended the match with a 25-23 win in the third set, but Fredonia rallied to close the match, 25-16, in the fourth.
Hansen’s 12 kills came with just three hitting errors. Eimile O’Brien (Marietta/Marcellus) added 10 kills for Buffalo State. Katherine Marte (Ithaca/Ithaca) finished with 22 assists. Hanna Cormier (Ft. Edward/Warhill) and Victoria Rigler (Amherst/Sweet Home) posted 16 and 15 digs respectively.
