TOWN OF NIAGARA — New York State Police charged a 23-year-old Niagara Falls man with criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell Tuesday afternoon following a Saunders-Settlement Road traffic stop.

According to police, Laricuss J. Nelson was stopped for a lane violation and his driving privileges in New York State were found to be revoked.  Nelson was then found to possess approximately 3.7 grams of crack cocaine, a digital scale and a small amount of marijuana.  

He was taken into custody and transported to SP Niagara for processing, where he was also charged with unlawful possession of marihuana and aggravated unlicensed operation.

Nelson was arraigned in the Town of Niagara Court and remanded to the Niagara County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
