James M. Griggs passed away October 3, 2016. Born in Buffalo December 1, 1956 he is the son of John and Viola (Hill) Griggs. James was a graduate from Kenmore West High School and worked for Reid Petroleum in Lockport where he was a transport fuel driver for 36 years. He was a member of the Niagara County Golf League and enjoyed golfing, hunting and camping.
James is survived by his wife Jane (Smeltz) Griggs; father of Jennifer Griggs, James (Krystina) Griggs, Daniel (Jennifer) Griggs, and April Griggs; grandfather of Xavier Griggs, Alexis McCall, Xander Horn, Alyssa Griggs, Gianna Griggs, and Isabella Griggs; brother of Dave Griggs and Tommy Griggs.
Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, Oct. 5th from 3-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 6th at 11 AM. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery.
