BUFFALO — The Queen City Half Marathon on Sunday is the first of it’s kind in Buffalo.

The women’s only half-marathon will begin at 7:30 a.m on Washington St. near Coca-Cola Field (registration inside the Buffalo News lobby beginning at 5 a.m.). Women racers will be treated to a 13-mile course through Canalside, Buffalo’s Outer Harbor and along the Route 5 waterfront.

Registration for the half marathon is only $55 and includes a finisher medal, a high-tech performance t-shirt, a custom wine glass and a Queen City Half Marathon wine stopper. Winners for various age groups will also be awarded a bottle of wine.

All participants will also be invited to a special post-race party in the Coca-Cola Field Pavilion area that will include complimentary food and wine as well as live music.
