ROCHESTER — Buffalo State dropped a straight-set decision tonight at the University of Rochester in its final non-conference tune-up match before conference play begins this weekend.

After dropping the opening set 25-10, the Bengals led for much of the second set, pushing the lead to 24-21, but could not hold on, falling 26-24.  The Yellowjackets closed out the match in the third set, 25-17.

Rochester posted a .253 attack percentage, compared to just .023 by the Bengals. The Yellowjackets also held a 44-29 advantage in digs.

Riley Chapman (Orchard Park/Orchard Park) led Buffalo State with five kills and four aces. Katherine Marte (Ithaca/Ithaca) had 18 assists, and six digs.
                                                                                             
Buffalo State will open SUNYAC play on Friday at Brockport when it takes on Oneonta at 5 p.m.
