NIAGARA UNIV. — The Niagara women’s golf team begins its fall season Saturday and Sunday at the Bison Invitational, hosted by Bucknell University.
The 36-hole tournament will be held at the Bucknell Golf Club in Lewisburg, Pa., a par-70, with shotgun starts on both Saturday and Sunday. Along with Bucknell, Niagara will also be competing with La Salle, Siena and Shenandoah.
This is the fourth straight season that the Purple Eagles will open their fall schedule at Bucknell. In 2015, Niagara finished 14th overall, carding a three-round, 54-hole score of 1053.
The Purple Eagles, who finished eighth at the 2016 MAAC Championships, return five from last year’s squad and welcome newcomers Marissa Del Monaco, Sarah Godfrey and Daniella Hopper.
