BUFFALO — More than two dozen chefs from 16 of the area’s most notable eateries will participate in a “top chef – best amuse bouche” competition on Monday.

One great thing about the event is that every attendee not only gets to try every chef’s bite of food but they also vote on their favorite via ballot and pick the winner. Even better, proceeds will benefit a culinary agriculture center for a school and Daniel Tracy’s medical fund.

Tracy was diagnosed with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or Lou Gehrig’s disease) in 2010. Each year since, ‘Iron Event’ has been held to help raise funds and awareness for ALS.

Aside from the incredible food, there will be music from the Tim Britt Band, Ten Cent Howl, Blood Money and Owski.

This year’s chefs include:

  • Edward Dolski and Daniel Spawton from Acqua
  • Richard Hamilton from Deep South Taco
  • Joshua and Satomi Smith from SATO Ramen
  • Jill Forster from Nickel City Cheese and Mercantile
  • Bruce Wieszala from Thin Man Brewery
  • Edward Forster from Buffalo Proper
  • Jeffrey Cooke from Osteria 166
  • Andrew Giordano from Lockport Country Club
