WHEATFIELD — A 29-year-old Niagara Falls man is facing driving while intoxicated charges after being stopped at a sobriety checkpoint on River Road Saturday night.

According to New York State Police, Michael Bevill was determined to be intoxicated when he stopped at the checkpoint around 11 p.m. Saturday. He was taken to the Niagara Trooper’s barracks where he was found to have a .13 percent blood alcohol content.

Bevill was released on appearance tickets to Town of Wheatfield Court, where he will answer to the charges.
