‘Tea Dance’ to benefit Orlando GLBTQ community

BUFFALO — A Tea Dance themed benefit for the GLBT Center of Central Florida is being held today at the Waiting Room.

Buffalo.LOVE will feature performances by local artists, basket raffles provided by local businesses and community members, and other drawings to raise funds for the center. Organizers say 100 percent of the funds raised will go to the center, which provides bilingual grief counseling and crisis services to families and victims.

A $5 donation is suggested at the door, but no one will be turned away, according to organizers. Larger donations are encouraged by checks made out to “The GLBT Center of Central Florida.”

Doors open at 3 p.m. and the first performance begins at 3:30.
