Soldiers Through the Ages @ Old Fort Niagara

This Memorial Day weekend, immerse yourself in a journey through centuries of military history at Old Fort Niagara’s annual event, Soldiers Through the Ages. From the 9th century to modern times, witness the evolution of warfare and military life.

Date: May 25 & 26, 2024

Time: 10 am – 4 pm


  • World War II Training Camp: Tour an authentic WWII camp featuring an M20 armored car and other period vehicles.
  • Military Vehicle Display: Marvel at vehicles from World War II, Korea, and Vietnam exhibited by the Empire State West Chapter of the Military Vehicle Preservation Association.
  • Period Camps: Stroll through over 1,000 years of military history with reenactors showcasing soldiers’ lives from various eras.
  • Comparative Weapons Program: At 3:00 p.m. daily, experience the progression of battlefield technology with firing demonstrations from Matchlock muskets to M1 Garand rifles.
  • The American Military Women’s Timeline: Discover the pivotal roles women have played in military history, from colonial times to present-day active duty.
