Nancy A. Bonacci, 90, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on August 17, 2023 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY.  Born in Manhattan, NY, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Florida (Guarnieri) Oliva.

Nancy was a graduate of Cathedral Prep in New York City.  On January 31, 1953, she married Edward H. Bonacci at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Manhattan.  Mr. Bonacci predeceased her in April of 2020.  After 40 years living in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Staten Island with her husband, they moved to Phoenix, AZ.  Nancy enjoyed traveling the world with Edward, visiting Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America as well as going on many cruises.  She enjoyed playing piano and going to the casino.  A very proper and old-fashioned women, she was also quite the character, sneaking the occasional cigarette when her son was not looking.  She cherished the time she spent with her son Mark, sharing many meals together when she moved back to Niagara Falls in 2020.

Nancy is survived by her sons, Dr. Mark A. Bonacci (late Don Luce) and Edward H. (Alexandra) Bonacci Jr., Esq.; her brother, Edward (late Maria) Olivia, her dear niece, Barbara Galante and dear nephew, Vincent Oliva, and cherished friends Kim and Robert Lewis and Millie Panzica, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to her husband of 67 years, she was predeceased by her brother, Salvatore Oliva.

Per Nancy’s wishes, there will be no prior visitation or funeral services.  There will be a Celebration of Life at a future date to be announced.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.  Arrangements by M.J.
