A retired Library Clerk at the State University of New York at Buffalo, Mary M. Graue, passed away on June 10, 2023, in Amherst, New York at the age of 91.

Mary also worked as a Customer Service Representative at Big-R and the Como Mall Bargain Store. She enjoyed Reading, Crossword Puzzles, Bowling, and Collecting Dolls, as well as traveling to Europe and Las Vegas to hone her skills at the Casinos both in Vegas and here at home.

She was most proud of being able to teach her grandchildren the art of traditional Polish cooking since she made the best Pierogi, Breaded Pork Chops, as well as her famous “Pierniki” (Polish Christmas Cut out Cookies).

Devoted mother of Susan (Timothy) Jason, Matthew (Rosie) Graue, Steven (Charlene) Graue, and Christopher (Karen) Graue.

Loving grandmother of Laura Jason, James (Stephanie) Jason, Joshua Graue, Maria (Tim) Northem, Rebekah Graue, Kevin Graue, Timothy Graue, Jacob Graue, Melissa (Eric) Brammer, and Erica Graue.

Fond great-grandmother of Lily Graue, Evelyn Graue, Caleb Jason, Madison Jason, Elsie Northem, and Finn Northem.

A beloved daughter of the late Magdalena (Sacilowski) Wnuk and late Jan Wnuk.

Dear sister of Helen (late Alfred) Obarka, the late Stella (late Stanley) Dawidowicz, late Sophie (late Leo) Pawelek, late John Wnuk, Jr., late Anna (late John) Bak, late Wanda (late Stanley) Czapski, late Joseph (late Eleanor) Wnuk,  late Felix (Kathryn) Wnuk, and late Irene (late Richard) Glaze.

Mary’s Memorial Mass will take place at St. Josaphat Church at a later date. Please check back for updates. 

Inurnment will be held at St. Adalbert Cemetery in Lancaster, NY.
