WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Nick Langworthy (NY-23) announced a federal grant of $5,117,322 from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to Chautauqua Opportunities, Inc. for Head Start projects.

“I’m proud to have championed and secured over $5 million for Head Start projects in Chautauqua,” said Congressman Langworthy. “This investment underscores our commitment to our community’s children and early childhood development. We are laying the foundation for a brighter future for generations to come by expanding access to quality education and providing critical resources for families.”

Head Start is based on the premise that all children share inherent needs and recognizes the significance of providing a comprehensive developmental program for children from income-eligible families. This program capitalizes on the individual strengths and diverse experiences of each child, while also placing a strong emphasis on the pivotal role of the family in shaping the child’s development.
