On February 26, 2023, SP Machias Troopers arrested Michael P. Kelley, 61, of Olean, NY for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs.
During a traffic stop on State Route 16 in the town of Yorkshire, Troopers observed Kelley exhibiting obvious signs of impairment and determined he had been operating a motor vehicle while in an impaired condition. Kelley failed standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. He was then arrested and transported to SP Machias, where a Drug Recognition Expert evaluation confirmed impairment.
Kelley was released with appearance tickets for Yorkshire Town Court, where he is due to appear in March.
