The National Weather Service calls for showers late this morning and early this afternoon with a high near 46 and an overnight low around 36.

The weather service says that a cold airmass — by mid-May standards — will move across the region, leading to possible freezing throughout parts of Western New York overnight: “Freezing temperatures would be hazardous to any tender vegetation. Please keep track of the latest forecast and have a plan to protect sensitive vegetation should any freeze watches or warnings be issued.”

Monday will be mostly sunny with a high near 54 and a low around 43. Tuesday, there’s a chance of showers with a high near 60 and a low around 43. Wednesday will be partly sunny with a high near 61 and a low around 44.

Thursday will be mostly sunny with a high near 64 and a low around 45. Friday will be mostly sunny with a high near 69 and a low around 49. Saturday, there’s a chance of showers with a high near 70.
