NIAGARA FALLS AIR RESERVE STATION — As summer kicks into full gear and people start mental checklists of what annual events they attend and when, a gap has appeared in the Western New York event list — the Thunder of Niagara Airshow will not be held this year.

Organizers say that “many of the key planners are deployed to the Middle East so an Airshow just wasn’t feasible this year.”
Those that visit the show’s Facebook page are advised to instead check out the Dunkirk Airshow, which was held this past weekend.
Good news, though. It appears as though the absence of the Niagara Falls airshow is not permanent.
The Facebook page says, “We’ll be back soon!”
