CAMBRIA — A 25-year-old Niagara Falls man was charged with first-degree sexual abuse and forcible touching following a Wednesday incident at Niagara County Community College.

According to Niagara County Sheriff Jim Voutour, Dejuan L. Hunt II is accused of grabbing a female student as she walked down a hallway at the N.C.C.C. around 12:16 p.m. Wednesday, and forcing her into a stairwell. Police say the female was able to escape from Hunt and alerted staff members at the college.

Hunt was soon apprehended on an NFTA bus in the City of Niagara Falls, that had picked him up outside the school after the attack.

Hunt, who is not an N.C.C.C. student, was charged by the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Bureau and arraigned in Cambria Town Court, where bail was set at $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond. He is slated to return to court on Tuesday.

According to NCSO, the investigation is continuing.
