LOCKPORT — A Lockport business that has been holding weekly concerts this summer will hold its next one in honor of the first responders who fought the fire on Stevens Street — practically across from the business.
Windsor Village, which is located at 43 Stevens St., has been hosting a series of unplugged concerts each Thursday. Owner Kathy O’Keefe says that this week’s concert will feature donations of food and more for Lockport Fire and Police department personnel, “and all those that responded to the fire.”
Restaurants, pubs and neighbors from the city’s West End are making the donations so that those that worked to extinguish one of Lockport’s largest fires in decades can enjoy a picnic style buffet with their families.
Donations are coming from Danny Sheehans, Deflippo’s, Ennis’s Westend Pub, Josey’s, Lombardi’s, Mr. Quiggley’s and more coming in. Funds raised will go to The Firemen and Police Funds and the Salvation Army to help meet the needs of West End families in the next few weeks.
The music lineup will include Sara Elizabeth with more musicians to be added.
Lock City Unplugged will be held from 5 – 9 p.m. at Windsor Village.
