A beautiful hardy salad that is perfect to serve for supper on a nice sunny warm fall day. I like to mix my greens in this salad, but if you don’t like the variety that I used, you can substitute your own.
- 2 cups chopped ice berg lettuce
- 2 cups chopped romaine hearts
- 1/2 red onion, diced
- 2 granny smith apples, seeded and diced
- 1 cup dried cranberries
- 2 cups praline pecans
- 2 oranges, peeled and segments
- 3 grilled chicken breast, cooked, cooled and diced
- 3/4 cup ranch dressing
Combine all in a big bowl, and toss in the ranch dressing, and mix together. If you want more dressing, you can add more.
This salad serves 4
When serving this salad, you can serve a nice warm French baguette with it.
Enjoy.
